Residential Services
The Human Development Center, Inc. (HDC) has over 40 years providing a continuum of services to adult individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, autism and challenging behaviors. HDC provides community based residential group home services in a variety of settings, including three group homes in Seffner, three in Tampa, and various supported living homes throughout Hillsborough County.
Adult Day Training (ADT) Services
It is the policy of the Human Development Center, Inc. (HDC), to support the participation of all individuals at HDC in daily valued routines of the community by teaching specific job skills, offering educational workshops and other employment opportunities.
Through these activities clients learn appropriate work behaviors, work ethics, problem solving skills, and employee-supervisor relationships. Most importantly, clients acquire valuable marketable job skills that will assist them in obtaining community-based employment.
Behavior Services
HDC is strongly committed to the Principles of Behavior Analysis in our programs. Behavior analysts observe and measure behavior with the goal of changing the environment to promote positive behavioral change.
All treatment programs at HDC include specific behaviors targeted for increase or decrease, and identify clear expectations. Data is collected to measure success, and programs are revised and individualized based on the data. Providing a consistent and positive learning environment are key contributors to success.
